Nicole Bradeen - Principal
Nicole Bradeen, principal, is an experienced educational leader who has worked with students in PK-12 since 1999. She has lived and taught across the country and world engaging with students in a variety of capacities as an elementary and middle school teacher, instructional coach, director of programs for after school and summer enrichment , swim and soccer coach, and a fitness instructor for new moms. She has served as principal of Longfellow since 2022 and enjoys teaching students to be creative thinkers and problem-solvers through the Expeditionary Learning and Illustrative Mathematics Curriculum. .She also is passionate about empowering students and adults to engage with social-emotional learning through building their self- reflection, self- awareness and relationship building skills.
Nicole holds a BA in Psychology and a Minor in Health. She holds an M.Ed. in Teaching from Lesley University and an Ed. M. in Educational Leadership from Columbia University, Teachers College. She moved to Portland to live closer to family and enjoy the benefits of a small city. When not at school, Nicole enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring outdoor activities, finding a new recipe or restaurant, and adventuring!
Nikki Todd & Mariah Fenton -Administrative Assistants
Nikki Todd and Mariah Fenton are the Longfellow Administrative Assistants. Everyone who comes into the main office is greeted with a bright smile and an enthusiastic hello! They handle a variety of duties to ensure smooth school operations. Among those duties are to keep track of student attendance, after school changes and getting messages to students.
