Volunteer Programs - Longfellow supports several volunteer programs. Through the Foster Grandparent Program we have grandparents coming into several Kindergarden and multi-age classrooms. The children enjoy seeing the 'grammies' four mornings a week. Longfellow is fortunate to have several mentors from the community coming in to spend time with our students. Future Teachers of America from Deering High School come and support our students and teachers throughout the year. In the spring, Chevus High students come and spend a month givng support. Longfellow also has a strong parent volunteer involvement.
