Parent and Teacher Organization

Mission Statement: The mission of the Longfellow School Parent Teacher organization is twofold: to provide enhanced educational opportunities for the children of Longfellow School through funding and organizing activities involving cultural enrichment, science, literacy, nature and the arts, and to encourage community and shared experience with the families and neighborhoods that surround the school.

Who is the PTO?
The membership of the PTO includes all parents of children enrolled at Longfellow School and all staff members of Longfellow School.

PTO Officer Responsibilities

How does the PTO raise money to fund all of the great things they do?
The PTO holds two major fundraisers each year. The first is the Original Works art-based program in the fall. The second fundraiser is the Longfellow Auction which will be held on a Saturday in March.

When does the PTO meet?
PTO meetings are generally (but not always) held the first Tuesday evening of the month at 7:00 PM in the school library.
